Dr. Buck graduated Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University; joined the Air Force and was accepted to medical school; mentors with Big Brother Big Sister Program of San Antonio.

Dr. Pranjali Gadgil graduated from B.J. Medical College in Pune, India. She completed a preliminary surgery year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, before joining the University of Texas School of Medicine San Antonio General Surgery Residency program in 2007. She is currently a chief resident and is interested in pursuing a career in breast surgical oncology. In addition to her passion for surgery, she enjoys watercolor painting, playing the keyboard and writing short stories and poetry.

Chief Administrative Resident
Originally from Mexico, Dr. Martinez and his parents immigrated to the United States when he was six years old. He grew up in San Antonio, TX. Though initially interested in the neurosciences, he became involved in thoracic surgery research involving explanted lungs and bronchial stents in the laboratory of Dr. Joel Cooper at Washington University.

Dr. Martinez graduated head of her class, and earned the Diploma of Excellence for 5 consecutive years while in medical school. She has also done research at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, from 1997-1999. She is an active member of her church, and preached and fed prisoners in her home country of Nicaragua.

 

photo Prejesh Philips, MD
Prejesh Philips, after graduating top of his class from St Columbas School, completed his medical School at MAMC in New Delhi and started general surgical training there. He did his clinical research on laparoscopic inguinal hernia and the work was published In Surgical Endoscopy. He then completed his inter year at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY and is currently completing his surgical residency at UTHSCSA. Special interests include MIS and transplant and is hoping to pursue a career in academic medicine.

Dr. Solomon completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2007. He remains at UTHSCSA for his General Surgery Residency. Dr. Solomon earned his Bachelor in Business Administration from the Mitte Business Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin in 2003.
