Aust Society Member Dues and Fees

The fiscal year of the society shall run from July 1-June 30 of the next succeeding year. All dues are payable on or before January 1 of each year. Failure to pay dues may result in inactivation of membership. Payment of the previous year's dues and the current year's dues will be required before reinstatement of active membership.

In exceptional circumstances, dues may not be collected from active or associate members without prejudice to membership where a situation has arisen which precludes their ability to pay even though their intention and desire to do so is manifest.

Please note the new dues rates effective July 1st, 2023.

Annual Dues, effective July 1, 2023:

• Active or Faculty Associate member in the Departments of Surgery, CT Surgery or Transplant - $600
  
• 1st year member dues - $100
  
• 2nd year member dues - $150
  
• Active member after 2 years (graduate/non-UTHSA faculty) - $350
  
• Associate members and Associate-Faculty member after 2 years - $175
  
• Postgraduate fellows - $10 per year while in recognized program
  
• Active members Lifetime Dues - Calculated one-time payment: (70-age) X $300 (approximately 15% discount)

There are no dues for the following members:

• Honorary members
  
• Retired Senior members
  
• Members residing outside the USA for more than 6 months of the academic year
