Dr. Savage is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Her clinical practice focuses on care of the acute injured patient, the management of emergent general surgical diseases and providing critical care in the Intensive Care Unit setting. Dr. Savage is nationally recognized and serves on multiple committees for the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Western Trauma Association, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Savage is the Director of Emergency General Surgery and Professor of Acute Care & Regional General Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Wisconsin.

Dr. Savage received her MD from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio/Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center integrated program and completed fellowships in surgical critical care (University of Tennessee Memphis) and surgical research (Lackland Air Force Base Clinical Research Facility). She also earned a Master of Science degree in Bioepidemiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Dr. Savage is a decorated military veteran who served tours of duty in the U.S. Air Force in Iraq and Afghanistan, treating soldiers who fell victim to improvised explosive devices.

The venue for the 2026 meeting is the historic Pearl Brewery along the San Antonio River Walk. The Friday evening banquet, the Saturday Symposium, and the Saturday evening festivities will be held at the Hotel Emma. The Hotel Emma is a history-rich boutique hotel, located in the original Pearl brewhouse.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hotel Emma, 136 E. Grayson St., San Antonio, TX 78215. The single/double occupancy guest room rate, subject to availability, is $345/night plus taxes and fees. The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the hotel's prevailing rates. Golf Tournament – Tee Times Begin at 8:00 a.m. (meet at 7:30 a.m.)

Location: The Quarry Golf Course, 444 E. Basse Rd.

The golf tournament will be held at The Quarry Golf Course -- tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. The format will be a four-man scramble and the cost is $155 per person. Members are encouraged to sponsor a resident for this event. Guests are welcome. Please use the annual meeting registration form to register for this event. Please plan to meet in the Pro Shop by 7:30 a.m.

Sporting Clays – 9:00 a.m.

Location: National Shooting Complex, 5931 Roft Rd (210-254-1537)

The sporting clay event will be held at the National Shooting Complex beginning at 9:00am. The National Shooting Complex will provide Certified Instructors, loaner guns (you may also bring your own), ammunition, eye and ear protection, and beverages. Fifty sporting clays will be offered to each participant at a cost of $125. Members are encouraged to sponsor a resident for this event. Guests are welcome.
