  Concept and Objective

This course is developed to bring graduates up-to-date with ongoing cutting-edge research and activities in the field of surgery. Housestaff research presentations affect this aim.

An honored guest discusses two major surgical considerations for the current year. Additional focus topics in this annual meeting include: General Surgery Cases with Panel Discussion, General Surgery Updates, Cardiothoracic Updates, and Breast Cancer.

Time is allotted for questions, answers, and discussion of presentations between alumni and faculty.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine (UTHSCSA) and the JB Aust Surgical Society. UTHSCSA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.
